HolidayGuard Travel Insurance

Simba Travelcare recommends adequate travel insurance cover to all persons booking travel arrangements. For your convenience we offer an appropriate policy displayed in the grid. This policy is available from the Simba Travelcare Sales Office, and should be purchased at the time of booking to ensure that you have cover for cancellation charges (Section 4) which become effective as soon as you have paid the applicable insurance premium. Because you have immediate cover under Section 4, the premium is not refundable if you subsequently cancel your booking. All prices quoted are in US Dollars.

Travel Insurance – Questions answered Travelcare Travelcare

What is Travel Insurance?

It is a comprehensive insurance package, which enables you and your family to travel with peace of mind especially designed for holidays or business trips where normal clerical work is undertaken.

How does the Certificate of Insurance operate?

Your travel insurance certificate is a contract between you and us. We will pay for any claim you make which is covered by this insurance that happens during the period of cover. The cover for cancellation (Section 4) starts from the date you buy the cover and ends at the start of your journey. The cover for all other sections starts at the beginning of your journey and finishes at the end of your journey.

Is the Travel Insurance Brochure my Certificate of Insurance?

Yes! Once a Premium Receipt or a computer generated certificate has been issued by the Simba Travelcare Office and attached to the brochure, this becomes your Certificate of Insurance and is all you need to take with you on holidays as proof of cover.

What happens in the case of an Emergency?

24-hour emergency service is provided by Global Response, who provide immediate help if you suffer from injury or illness outside your country of residence. They must be notified immediately if you are admitted to hospital or if you think you may have to return early or extend your stay because of injury or illness. Global Response are responsible for all decisions on the most suitable way to resolve any problem including, where necessary, your repatriation to your Country or Residence.

What are Conditions, Exclusions and Excesses?

Conditions and exclusions are circumstances where your insurance coverage may be subject to limitations or may not apply. Conditions and exclusions may apply to individual sections of your coverage or may apply to the whole of your coverage. Excesses apply to some sections of your cover (Sections 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8). Where the excess applies, we will deduct the amount of the excess (USD$50) from the final claim payment for each person insured, for each incident and for each claim made. Full details are shown in the brochure (insurance certificate) available at your Simba Travelcare Office.

What if I need to make a Claim?

If you need to make a Claim you should apply for a Claim Form from the Simba Travelcare Office. The Claim Form should be completed and returned with full supporting documents to the nearest Ketteridge Claims office.

What happens if my return journey is delayed?

If you, or anyone travelling with you, cannot finish their journey because of death, illness or injury, or there is a delay to the public transport system that cannot be avoided, we will extended your cover free of charge until you can reasonably finish your journey.
